L.A. the Blog: Poetry “What Is …”

What Is …

Inspiration, when the only thing
In life that matters is the singular self.

(I’m making a statement)

When a lover smiles, does the
World stand still and the day
Brighten, the night become more pleasant.

(I feel your eyes staring at me)

Can a life be saved, if I give
Everything I have and try, try, try
Then cry, cry cry.

(Truthfully I didn’t cry when she died)

If I tell the truth, does freedom
Sing over a crimson desert sun.

(Did I lose you?)

Who told me, that I shouldn’t live
A quiet life of desperation.

(It’s a riddle, but I am sure someone knows)

Will a friend, answer when screams
Shatter repose with the word “help.”

(Shatter “help” with a shriek)

How can anyone tell, understand,
comprehend that they’re truly alive.

(Sometimes I enjoy nightmares)

Does the word fuck offend you, even
If you don’t speak English.

(Really I’ve never liked saying a word more)

Make me king, but free me
From this kingdom, these shackles.

(Love is not free)

… and what if during a summer
Night, the warmth chasing away the
Cold memories of life, like a
Firefly love meanders slowly
Zigging and zagging slowly
Counting stars under an oak tree.
“Will? What? If? When? Does? Then?
How? But? Who? Can?” and everything else
So perfectly weaves together into
An exquisite web where the only
Whisper left anywhere carries just
The name “Love” …

What is inspiration, if nothing but
Forever caught in an embrace.

L.A. the Blog: Collection of Los Angeles Art Cars

Though not unique to Los Angeles, this beautiful city has a collection of cars that people have taken and personalized in such a way that we are sure they are one of a kind.  So without out further ado the blog brings you the first few photos in a series of car photos that speak so loudly they couldn’t be ignored:

cork

The it must float cork car ...

Well, obviously a heavy drinker’s car. Not only does the car float with so much cork on it, when the owner drives drunk he is protected from small fender benders. Wine anyone?

The Nor-Cal hella, hella, hella jeep.

Yes, not only does this car scream Nor-Cal with the “Hella” lights, it also hella is an advertisement for cigs, Camel cigs. L.A. the Blog hopes the owner won the car from collecting Camel cash.

The everything red car ...

This car is made of so many miscellaneous red items that we can’t really classify the car, but choose to call it “Classy Red.”

Cool car

We thought this car just looked rather cool and fast …

Stay tuned for more car fun!

L.A. the Blog: Poetry “The Moments Between Breath …”

The space between
Staring eyes stuttering over
The impossible word sorry.

Striving against a mountain
Of a tear, growing
Larger with each pause
Between breaths,
The void stretches
Out even as a
Hand reaches out
To refute every truth
That is and isn’t said.

“It’s hard,” she says …
“Things happen,” he said …
“It get’s easier,” she recalls,
“We love you,” he affirms.

“I’m okay,” she lies, and
Still the word hangs in
The air, hangs in between
Breaths and pounds with
Each heart beat …

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry …
